Praise you in the storm: typhoon Ramil is dead
In an amazing twist of destiny, we have been spared from another possibly deadly typhoon attack but praise the Lord for as we have all been praying, God stopped Ramil in the sea. Can God really stop a typhoon, much less a superstrong one in the radar of weather forecasters? Yes, that truth is easier realized than anything when we think that He is both just, merciful and loving God. God can stop any percolating typhoon, windstorm, thunderstorm or even tornado. Even at the risk of being called an alarmist, PAGASA raised storm signals over the entire North Luzon area in order to warn residents of possibilities of destruction.

No storm can withstand the Prince of Peace, in His presence all turbulence are silenced to stand still.
Yet this too not only gave warnings but raised the stress level of many residents as they packed and prepared for possibilities of large scale evacuations. As one speaker once said, we can never prepare too much againsts the forces of nature. The natural forces at work today continue to sculpt and recreate the face of the earth. These turbulent forces come to distract us and more so, to point to us that above all human remedies, we have a God who can be trusted and who can do good things for the sake of His people. Jesus can and does continue to rebuke the winds that come to batter our boats in this life just as He did in Galilee 2000 years ago.
“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” (Mark 4:39-41 KJV)
No force of nature can be greater than the Son of Man Himself, the very Creator who has made the heavens and the earth; He knows how to stop and remove even those that stick as seemingly legal and acceptable events and are yet deceiving and must be rebuked. Because the Lord can do much more than anything, exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ask for (Ephesians 3:20). Let us praise the Lord even in the storm.
“Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)
