My wife suddenly had uncontrollable spasms in her stomach on the midnight of September 5. It begun last September 3 during the night after we just  finished celebrating the 2nd birthday of our toddler Germane Amber. We thought that her spasms were simple stomach aches. My wife also told me that it was different already because our first child was born premature at 8 months last September 3, 2007 in Davao.

Her labor of spasms were unknown to her because when Germane was born, she got spotting and was induced to give birth as a result of the spotting and the breaking of her amniotic bag. But this time, we too were just as ignorant as if it was also our first time and we do not know again if it was simple stomach ache or a labor. Even so when she could not control it anymore, we have to run in the night and run her through the Kalinga Provincial Hospital. All were asleep in our neighborhood, except the occasional barking of our dogs and the noise of the jeepney that my father had already started. My wife cringed in pain and whispered to my sister if she can give birth inside the jeep. “No, you must do it at the hospital” were the only words she heard flipped through her lips. As if taking a whole week of labor, finally we were at the hospital grounds and the man at the ER run for a wheel chair and moved her to the delivery room as fast as it can get. Finally at around 2:27 am, on September 5, Daniel Amos was born.

I kept watched on the time of his delivery as well as the date because I felt that the Lord has a message for us through Daniel’s delivery. We were not disappointed for when he was delivered, it was 2:27 in the morning and when I looked at the book of Daniel 2:27-30, it says

“Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, show unto the king;

But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days.

Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.

But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.”

Or in short, God is the revealer of mysteries. Even every single invention and discovery that man attributed to himself is still the grace of God whether the inventor or the discoverer attributes this breakthrough to the Lord or to his own ingenuity. God is still the One in control of everything, even when we think chaos has already taken over everything.

Thus, we attribute much that September 5 speaks of God giving us a son, a fruit of the womb, that God means for the church to understand and come to Him for revelation. In fact to my surprise today, I felt an urge to visit the website of Bob Jones and got the following as a confirmation of what God has in store for us, for the church. That last September 5, Bob Jones, a prophetic man of God, had an experience that deals well of what the Lord has just given us, a son.

Bob relates the following: “On September 5th I was sitting on a train and noticed that all those on the train were also seated.  They were all shepherds and each one had a special seat assignment. Their seats were assigned by the Holy Spirit and they knew what they were called to do.  As the train was traveling I asked the Conductor “what is this train?”  He said it was the GLORY TRAIN and He gave me a capsule.

It was a TIME CAPSULE and it was shaped like an egg. It had new life in it!  It had the beginning and end of time in it.  For time was created for man, not man for time.  I asked the Conductor “when can I open this egg and when will this train arrive?” He said the time was within the egg.   And the egg will be opened in 2012.

So we need to keep sitting in the seat that He has given us.  Sitting speaks of rest so we need to rest in what He’s called us to be.  I knew a few of the people that were seated on the train with me but there were far more that I didn’t know.  So we are all going in the same direction and we’ll see the glory train come in the next 3 years.

The time capsule has the WISDOM OF THE AGES in it; from the beginning to the new beginning. We’re coming to the end of the old in 3 yrs and the birthing of the new and the glory of God falling upon the churches.”

Although this may relate to me personally, there are experiences that also have significance and meaning for the church at large. By taking heed of these and taking them personally we will be blessed. To us, the Lord has given us a son for whom we have been praying for that He would give us.  Indeed the Lord too has not witheld from us the blessing of the womb and gave us a wonderful baby boy. I see him now as an important link and a symbol of what the Lord has in store for us in the coming years, 2012 is a good year, it is a glory year which was given as a prophecy last September 5 through this man of God.

September 5 is the date He chose to reveal a mystery and an opening for the church to crave and be expectant of, to fight for, that God will release His glory to the church. Because when His glory comes to the church, we will not only be soaked in His presence but we will have Him and His presence will accompany us. Light and glory will fill the church and there will be healing, breaking of bondages and deliverance whenever the Lord comes, He brings liberty to the captives and His Kingdom too comes upon His people.

The fight and victory

Even so this will not come unopposed, just as in every move of God, the enemy tries to preempt them to destroy the plans of God, yet he will be rendered powerless because “when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord raises a standard against him.” I have understood this more with every passing experience that drives the reality of this truth in my heart. Our recent experience tells us that though death may try to surround us, yet those who fear His name, shall not fear death. After only about two days from since we came from the hospital, our baby got sick and was almost near to death. We have to bring him to a clinic and a hospital for a diagnosed sickness of sepsis and jaundice. We only knew that the contact of sepsis could have been brought due to unclean environment, which could also be because of the ward we were brought as well as the delivery room where our son was delivered.

After about one more night in a private hospital we decided with our doctor’s advice to go to Tuguegarao at Cagayan Valley Medical Center for the treatment of our baby. We were not disappointed as the golden touch of Dr. Geraldine Ramirez quickly stabilized his condition and the prayers of the saints rose up to heaven. On September 9th using a 9 days old blood, he was given a blood exchange transfusion that quickly restored his health and strength. We were told that if we do not resort to this, his health may worsen and his chance to fight the infection may be nil. But thanks be to God for the victory that He has wrought through Daniel. He was healed and by the 8th day, we went back home. Then I remembered again the story of Daniel, he was thrown into the lions den but God also shut the mouth of the lions so that he was delivered from their jaws. Then the word from Peter resounded in my ears,

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” (1 Peter 5:8-9)

While looking back at what happened, the Lord also spoke to me and said, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses” (2 Corinthians 10:3-4).

Thus, God’s glory will come but we will also expect that the enemy will also try to oppose every move of God just as He tried to oppose the coming of a great deliverance through Moses and Jesus Christ by killing every child through a dictator in their respective time. But take heart, for just as God has delivered Daniel from the mouth of certain death, the Church shall crush Satan under her feet through the God of peace. Jesus has already rendered “…powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives” (Hebrews 2:14-15). We are victorious because the Lord was.

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
